What is RESI’s Purpose?

RESI was founded to address deforestation for cooking fuel (charcoal and firewood), indoor pollution from the burning biomass energy, reducing the gender gap where women have to spend half of their productive time on unpaid care work, challenge of exclusion of children in climate change and nature protection.

These challenges have been addressed through providing clean cooking energy to underserved rural homes, training women to be green energy leaders, creating children friendly climate change and nature protection content to facilitate mindset and behavioral change in children of ages 5-12.

A developer is a person who wants to build a house in the forest. An environmentalist is a person who already has a home in the forest.
